Start A Chapter

A local chapter provides the opportunity for women at community colleges to participate directly in the kinds of activities, networking, communications, professional development, leadership, nurturing, mentoring, and personal growth that have made AAWCC strong at the national and regional levels.

Constitution

This organization shall be known as the American Association for Women in Community Colleges: An affiliate council of the American Association of Community Colleges.

Bylaws

Active members shall be those persons or institutions who support the principles of AAWCC and pay dues established by the Board of Directors. The Vice President for Membership or her designee shall maintain a roster of active members.

Chapter Member - Enrollment of 1,000 students or less - $100.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: July 1st No automatically recurring payments This membership level is for colleges with an AAWCC chapter. The membership fee is based on institutional annual enrollment as reported to IPEDS. The cost allows for unlimited chapter members. For enrollment of 1,000 students or less, the fee is $100 per year.

Chapter Member - Enrollment of 1,001-3,000 students - $200.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: July 1st No automatically recurring payments This membership level is for colleges with an AAWCC chapter. The membership fee is based on institutional annual enrollment as reported to IPEDS. The cost allows for unlimited chapter members. For enrollment of 1,001-3,000 students or less, the fee is $200 per year.

Chapter Member - Enrollment of 3,001-5,000 students - $300.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: July 1st No automatically recurring payments This membership level is for colleges with an AAWCC chapter. The membership fee is based on institutional annual enrollment as reported to IPEDS. The cost allows for unlimited chapter members. For enrollment of 3,001-5,000 students or less, the fee is $300 per year.

For enrollment of 7,001-9,000 students or less, the fee is $500 per year.

For enrollment of 9,000 students or more, the fee is $600 per year.

The membership fee is based on institutional annual enrollment as reported to IPEDS and allow the president and one designee to serve as members. For enrollment of 1,001 - 3,000 students, the fee is $200/year.

Partner/Supporter - $1,000.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: July 1st No automatically recurring payments This membership level is for organizations that support AAWCC and its mission but are not member colleges of the American Association of Community Colleges. These organizations would be listed as a partner/supporter of AAWCC on the website and event collateral.

State or District Level - Free Subscription period: 1 year, on: July 1st No automatically recurring payments The only state/district sections permitted by AAWCC are those existing prior to fall 2021: Oregon, San Diego, and South Carolina. The membership fee is based on the enrollment (as reported by IPEDS) of students at community colleges within the section. Please contact AAWCC National at info@aawccnatl.org to determine the membership fee.
